The Annual Electors Annual Parish Meeting for Temple Cloud with Cameley was held at Temple Cloud Village Hall

Councillors Present: Sara Box (Chairman), Jon Elford, Jon Sebright, Keith White, Mark Wilson (Vice Chairman) and Myk Winder

Also Present: Philip Edwards (Clerk) and 9 members of the public


1. WELCOME BY CHAIRMAN

Welcome from Cllr Sara Box, the Chairman of Temple Cloud with Cameley Parish Council

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR THE 2024 APM

RESOLVED: The minutes for the Annual Parish Meeting held in May 2024 were approved as an accurate record of the meeting.

3. PARISH COUNCIL CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

Report from Cllr Box, Chairman of Temple Cloud with Cameley Parish Council

  • The Chairman thanked members of the council for their work this year and welcomed the new council members who had joined since last year
  • New goal posts had been installed this year with new use of football pitch by Clutton AFC who had been marking out the pitch for team matches held most weekends
  • A new container had been installed at the village hall which replaced the old Curo garage hire, this was forced on the council due to garage dilapidation, but has worked well and has saved ongoing garage hire costs
  • The Village Hall foyer has been painted which has lifted the visual appeal in the entrance to the village hall
  • The Chairman welcomed the new regular village hall bookings and groups this year, which included: Childminding group, Yoga, Thai Chi and Brownies

4. LOCAL GROUP REPORTS

A report was received from Temple Cloud in Bloom highlighting all the work during the year, which included a slide presentation and photos.

5. REPORT FROM DISTRICT COUNCILLOR

Apologies for absence were received from BANES District Councillor David Wood.

6. OPEN FORUM

A discussion of parish affairs as determined by those present at the meeting included looking at the defibrillator sites around the village with a need identified for a defibrillator to be installed in Cameley. Members of the public reported that they had asked the doctors surgery whether a defibrillator might be sited at the surgery if one was provided by the Parish Council. The Parish Council was supportive of this suggestion and agreed to contact the Dr Surgery to review possible arrangements.

The Chairman thanked members of the public for their participation and closed the meeting at 7.45pm
