  • To receive a report from the Clerk
    • There is a BANES Ward Councillor election on 3rd July. The council is in a pre-election period with certain restrictions in place for sensitive activities.
    • To review: The Clerk has met with the Dr surgery to discuss installing a defibrillator cabinet. The new cabinet supplied to the garage has been returned to the Clerk for fitting at the surgery. The Clerk has been advised that neither planning permission or listed building consent would be required as the size of the cabinet would be treated as ‘de minimus’. These details have been emailed to members of the council for review.
    • To note: The AGAR and documentation has been submitted to BDO for the external audit, including the additional intermediate review documentation
    • The AGAR and supporting documentation has been posted on the website
    • To note: The notice of public rights has been posted on the website
    • The redeclaration of workplace pension re-enrolment with the pension regulator has been completed with assessment date of 12/6/2025

    • Disputed invoice has been resolved with a credit note, details emailed to councillors

2506_[8] Village Hall and Open Spaces Reports

  • To receive a report on any updates regarding the village hall and open spaces
  • To review – Playground inspection report shared with members of the council
  • To note – The football pitch was hired by the Home Education football team for a match against West Pennard Primary School. The council would like to thank Cllr Bubb who repaired badger damage on the pitch, marked the pitch and set up the goal nets for this game.
  • To note – the childminder will no longer be hiring the hall from September
  • To note – hooks, straps and builders bags have been purchased to improve storage in the container
  • To note – blue roll holders have been purchased for the village hall
  • To note – an additional hand rail has been purchased for the disabled toilet
  • EICR inspection and PAT testing has been completed in the village hall
  • Contractor will not be cutting grass for 3 weeks from 21/7/25 to 14/8/25
