To implement the internal auditor’s recommendations:
- TO RESOLVE: To update the financial regulations to include an annual review of regular bank payments rather than a two-yearly review
- TO RESOLVE: To update the risk management scheme to specify and minute an annual review of both the asset register and the council insurance requirements
- TO RESOLVE: To set a de minimis level on the asset register. (Recommended by the IA – this will allow single assets below the value threshold to be excluded from the Asset Register. This will help to ensure that the Asset Register provides a materially accurate record of the Council’s fixed assets, but will not become too unwieldy with low value assets. With regard to insurance, some items with values below the policy excess may be better self-insured)
